(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) – Teamsters employed as parking meter revenue and maintenance
workers at LAZ San Francisco have ratified a new 4-year agreement which includes economic
improvements in nearly every category.

Wage increases of 4.3% each year highlight protections against the skyrocketing cost of living.

“The front and center issue for members is the rising costs that come with living in the Bay
Area,” said Local 665 Principal Officer Tony Delorio. “This was our clear message as we began
negotiations.”

Other improved areas of the contract include maintaining their premium union healthcare,
increased vacation progression, an additional holiday, 1 to 2 extra bereavement days, new shift
premiums and uniform/laundry stipend enhancements.

For retirement, the unit will move from a 401k plan to a defined benefit under the Western
Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust that includes annual increases.

“We went into these negotiations needing both security and money that we can live on. The
workers are happy with the outcome,” said LAZ Teamster Kevin Ramos.

“This contract brings stability to a workforce which delivers much needed revenue to the City,”
said Delorio. “This new Agreement shows that this important work is respected.”
