The Industrial Trades Division is one of the largest and most diverse sectors within the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, representing a broad range of jobs, industries, and employers across the country. With members in nearly every local, the scope of the Division’s work is unmatched—spanning industries from car and truck rental to laundry, parking, manufacturing, and beyond.

Earlier this month, representatives from Teamsters Local 665 joined more than 150 Teamsters from across North America at the Industrial Trades Division Conference, a two-day gathering focused on education, strategy, and solidarity. The event offered over half a dozen workshops designed to help locals build strength and protect members in an evolving industrial landscape.

Local 665 agents actively participated in training sessions covering subjects such as securing stronger contracts, strategic research for building member power, and organizing in key sectors like car and truck rental, laundry, and parking—industries where Local 665 maintains a significant presence. These workshops provided practical tools to strengthen bargaining positions, improve communication between members and employers, and identify opportunities for growth and organizing.

“Our participation in these classes reinforces Local 665’s commitment to ensuring that our members have a strong voice at the bargaining table,” said Tony Delorio Principal Officer. “The information and strategies we shared at the conference will help us continue raising standards in the industries we represent.”

As the Industrial Trades Division continues to expand its reach and adapt to new challenges, Teamsters Local 665 remains focused on education, innovation, and unity—ensuring that every member benefits from a union that’s informed, proactive, and ready to lead.
