The Teamsters Nor Cal Negotiating Committee concluded its fifth week of negotiations with UPS on
Friday. The session ended with minimal movement. In the same week that UPS posted a $2.5 billion-
dollar first-quarter profit (2023), the company continued to propose monetary concessions. The Union is
committed to protecting our members’ workweeks, start times, holiday pay, and daily hour guarantees.
After 24 days of bargaining, the company finally agreed to provide ice to its employees: SAFETY FIRST!
There are still several unresolved issues that include: the honoring of seniority, UPS paying its
employees properly and on time, the grievance procedure, and forced 6 th days of work. General
President Sean O’Brien has sent a strong message to UPS; National negotiations will not start until all
supplements are finalized. The parties are scheduled to bargain again on Sunday 4/30/23 and continue
throughout the week. The Union is making every effort to get our members the contract they deserve
while the company continues to operate as if this contract doesn’t expire in 95 days. BE PREPARED. 8/1
