(SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.)- May 12, 2026 – Teamsters Local 665 members at Kaiser
Hospitals at South San Francisco and Daly City locations have unanimously ratified a new 3-year
collective bargaining agreement which includes economic improvements in every contractual
category.
The bargaining unit at these two worksites perform valet and parking facility service for
patients, visitors and hospital staff.
“Our Kaiser members told us that wage and benefits improvements were top-of-the-list. We
went into negotiations determined to achieve these goals. The unanimous vote to approve this
contract demonstrates the solidarity of these members,” said Local 665 Business Agent Joe
Matekel.
Contract improvements include a 19% wage increase over three years; an 82% employer
contribution increase to the Teamster 410(k); one additional holiday; one additional sick leave
day; two additional bereavement days; and one additional paid vacation week.
Anticipating annual cost increases, the Teamster Health Plan was secured with strong
maintenance of benefits language.
“Wages, the retirement plan, and health benefits were all important issues to our
membership,” said Shop Steward Abe Lumba. “The fact that everyone voted yes for this
contract shows that our goals were met.”
