For the past seven years Brother Malouf has made strengthening the position of working people his goal. Upon graduation from Sonoma Valley High School in 2015, Mark became assistant political director of the North Bay Central Labor Council. The Council’s extensive jurisdiction, represented crafts, and diverse membership honed Mark’s skills as he brought elected officials and labor leaders together. Through his leadership public policy and legislative solutions were hammered out, benefiting workers in a variety of industries.
In 2019 the International Brotherhood of Teamsters tapped Mark to join the nationwide organizing effort in the emerging cannabis industry, bringing union protections to hundreds of workers across many regions of the United States.
Now a resident of San Francisco’s Mission District, Mark is excited to take on his new role as a Local 665 Business Agent, where he will represent Teamster members in various transportation and automotive crafts throughout the Union’s jurisdiction.
