Teamsters stand in solidarity with our union brothers and sisters at SEIU LOCAL 87 as 700 of their janitors went on strike yesterday In Downtown SF.
Striking workers are calling for fair pay, seniority rights and workplace safety protections. 26 custodians in the union have died from Covid-19 and roughly 3,000 have been laid off. They are the true definition of essential workers. Teamsters Local 665 has pulled our members out of every property where Local 87 has formed a picket line. We will stand side by side with our brothers and sisters until they win a fair contract. SF is a union town and will always be a union town!!!
