Local 665 members employed at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) have ratified a new 3-year agreement that includes the highest wages and benefits at any airport parking facility in the United States.
“The members were united in getting improvements in every category of the contract that is economic. This new contract shows that we achieved that goal,” said 33-year member Joe Diaz.
The new 3-year contractual wage scale contains annual hourly wage increases totaling out at $3.48 above the recently expired agreement.
The new collective bargaining agreement, with terms through November 30, 2026, maintains the current health benefits package for the three full years.
Two separate retirement plans, the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust and the Supplemental Income 401k, contain significant annual increases as well.
Members gained one additional holiday and will enjoy one additional sick leave day.
Graveyard shift differential pay and premium pay for members of the facility office staff are included in the new package.
Following ratification, Local 665 Principal Officer Tony Delorio issued a statement congratulating the workers at SFO.
“We thank our shop steward, Rene Parada, and our negotiating committee for sticking together during difficult talks. These improvements show why solidarity is so important. The result is the security and protections of working under the best airport agreement in the country,” Delorio said.
