Local 665 members employed at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) have ratified a new agreement that brings substantial improvements and job security for the 4-year term. “Working at a medical center has very specific challenges. Our members at CPMC wanted recognition for the service they provide each day for patients and staff. The security and improvements in this new contract deliver that recognition,” said Tony Delorio, Principal Officer of Teamsters Local 665. Included in the package is a 5% hourly wage increase during the first year, with significant increases continuing each year thereafter. The superior health benefits plan enjoyed by the membership at CPMC will be maintained and continue throughout the 4-year term. Retirement contributions contained in the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust doubled the yearly increases from the prior contract Negotiations also produced an additional Bereavement leave day and maintained the vacation and sick leave PTO schedules. “CPMC Teamster members stayed united during these negotiations,” said shop steward Enrique Gomez. “These increases and improvements show the value of workers sticking together.”
