Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation Summary and Resources. (UPDATED REGULARLY)
This guide provides specific information on the transmission of the virus, health and safety measures that can be taken to reduce transmission, symptoms, treatment and current risk status in the United States.
The document will be updated regularly as the Safety & Health Department monitors information from the CDC, OSHA, NIOSH and the FAA among other federal and state agencies.
In regard to your job, we understand the concern that some of you may feel the effects of this national epidemic. We are hopeful that the government will continue to take the necessary precautions to either contain or eliminate this virus all together in the coming weeks.
If any staffing cuts are performed during this time, we expect them to be temporary. In the meantime, your union requests that some members utilize their sick and/or vacation time they have on the books to supplement the temporary reduction of hours, if any. We will also ensure that all union employers follow seniority during this time. If any member is made aware of any seniority violations, please reach out to your Business Agent immediately.
